Hagerstown, MD | June 11, 2014 — The Maryland Green Registry presented the 2013 Leadership Award to Hub Labels, Inc. for outstanding contributions to environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices. The Registry honored its top performers at the Annual Membership and Awards Event on June 11, 2014 at Courtyard by Marriott Chevy Chase.
The Maryland Green Registry recognizes organizations that have shown a strong commitment to the implementation of sustainable practices, the demonstration of measurable results and the continual improvement of environmental performance with the leadership awards.
The Registry is a voluntary program that promotes and recognizes environmentally sustainable practices in organizations of all types and sizes statewide. Hub Labels successfully measures and tracks their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle. Hub Labels is please to share that in 2013, they were able to produce an overall reduction of electricity use to 305,163 kWh in 2013. Hub also saved 17,135.5 gallons of pure water, 347,560 lbs waste reduction, 575,762 lbs recycled material, which is a $13,679 savings from 2012-2013.
